Illustration Friday "SPRING"
This week's theme at Illustration Friday is "Spring". That said, below is my contribution "Breezy". Because every place I have ever lived (and there's been a lot, a LOT of places) it is always windy in the spring. Oh, and you start wearing cooler colors. Dare I say, pastels? |

The newest Catwoman
Here is a 4 Step Tutorial on how this particular catwoman evolved: She will soon be added to the website for purchase . . . But first I need to finish this year's banner. And here is what I did for a half hour on Saturday with my magnetic personality (with the help of heat-seeking missiles- 7 lb canine and 50+ lb munster.) |

Catwoman in Stockings
Last night I started sketching while watching Catwoman. I know. I know. A terrible, hideous, stupid movie, that I didn't even finish . . . But I found the vintage artwork of catwomen to be inspiring. So therefore, I sketched a catwoman. Today she was transformed into a digital work of art. I've been doing a lot of digital pieces lately, mostly due to the convenience of working IN the house rather than OUT in the studio. I had a little sickling home today and of course being the super-DEE-duper mommy I am, I had to stick around to care for my little guy. Remember when I mentioned that keyword "PORTIA DE ROSSI" brings in many hits according to my stat counter? Well so does keyword "CATWOMAN". So, that said, here is my "CATWOMAN IMAGE", or "CATWOMAN ART" if you will: Detail: |

It's all about Portia de Rossi
Do you want to know what brings the most traffic to this blog? It's keyword search PORTIA DE ROSSI. Remember way back when I was trying to get my doo to look like her doo? Of course not, but let me refresh your memory by clicking here. For current hair status, click here. Do you want to know what I did this weekend? Pretty much just this: And a little of this: And since it's all about Portia de Rossi, I'll grant you one image: |

Illustration Friday "FEET"
I find this week's theme at Illustration Friday of "feet" to be a little odd . . . But when I do think of "feet" (which isn't quite often, admittedly). I think stilletos. And my fave pair is on my Redhead Catwoman image. Not that I could even walk in heels like this . . . |

Short and Sweet
Nothing says FUN like looking for your keys for two hours. And being the prepared person I am had two sets of keys made . . . None of which work on the vehicle that I needed to drive. For a deadline. So deadline/No keys. You can see the type of day it was. But it all turned out good. Deadline saved by friend with vehicle. I totally recommend having friends. Friends are good. So to keep it simple and short and because I NEVER post and I am really, really trying to, here goes nothin': Thinking: I should be cooking dinner. Doing: Not cooking dinner. Enjoying: My glass of wine that I'm not allowed to drink by my tee-totalling husband. Feeling: Furry. White Lula fur abounds every article of clothing. Digging: The fact that I found my keys. Listening: KT Tunstall (the entire album is BRILLIANT. BRILLIANT, I tell you!), Sia (Only "Breathe Me"), and Jem (an assorted few singles.) And don't judge Natasha Bedingfield for her "These Words"- The rest of her album showcases her gorgeous voice much better. Reading: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith. Captivating. Finishing: "> Nude with Canary and "> Woman with Canary. You can see Nude with Canary at the UNCLAD show this weekend. Anticipating: Ramona's party Thursday. UNCLAD party Friday. Moving: Up off my ass to cook dinner. |

Self Magazine/Bally's Total Fitness Expo
This Saturday, my AWESOME art rep, Ramona, made my art part of the Bally's Total Fitness and Self Magazine Expo in Bellevue, WA. You can see more photos here. Ramona did such a wonderful job, I am so impressed! Also- another BIG, HUGE tremendous help and the one who inspired it all was Adrienne, a regional manager of Bally's in Western Washington. I simply cannot thank them enough for all the time, energy and passion that went into displaying and promoting my art. |

Illustration Friday "INSECT"
My image for Illustration Friday's theme of "insect" (ew) this week is and older piece I created a few years ago. Meet the "Ladybug Cat Fairies". They're quite rare, you know. |
